What areas do you cover?

 We're based in Northampton, so most of our work is in Northants. However we regularly travel to neighbouring counties (Beds, Bucks, Leics, Warwicks, Ox, Lincs, and  Cambs), and we will will cover any area as long as we're able to remain competitive.  

How much does scaffolding cost?

Prices will vary depending on many factors (size and height of scaffolding, length of hire, access, additional equipment needed etc). Contact us for a free quote for your individual project.

How often does scaffolding need inspecting and who can inspect?

Inspections are needed when completed, and then once every 7 days (or more often in adverse weather conditions). Inspections must be carried out by a competent person whose combination of knowledge, training and experience is appropriate for the type and complexity of the scaffold. TomRed Scaffolding will arrange inspections at an additional cost if required.

Do you provide scaffolding for any size project?

Yes, we're happy to provide a quote for any size project, for any duration.

Do I need a permit or pavement licence?

If the scaffolding needs to be on a public highway or pavement, you will need a permit and we will apply on your behalf.

What insurance do you have?

We have Public Liability Insurance (£10M) and Employers Liability Insurance (£10M)

How long can I have the scaffolding for?

You can have the scaffolding as long as you need it, and we will provide details of hire costs in our quotation

Will I need to pay to have the scaffolding dismantled?

No the price you pay includes the cost of dismantling and taking away.

Do I need a scafftag?

This is not a legal requirement, however if you need one please ask.

Do you work out of hours?

Yes we're happy to quote for any work that is needed out of normal office hours, just ask.

What are your H&S policies?

We are fully accredited to the CHAS (The Contractors Health & Safety Assessment Scheme), all our operatives are fully trained through the CISRS (The Construction Industry Scaffolders Record Scheme), and safety is our number one priority. All our work is fully compliant with all industry regulations, and the recommendations of TG20:21. 

What extras may I need to consider?

All our scaffolding is suitable for general purpose and includes the basics, (handrails, toe-boards, ladder access, safety gates etc.). Let us know if you need any extras, (additional strengthened scaffold, netting, rubbish chutes, compound, rope and wheel etc) and we'll be happy to provide a quotation to meet your project requirements.
